German trade show begins today

Dhaka, Oct 26: A three-day trade show titled ‘German Trade Show 2011’ begins Thursday (today) in the city.
Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organise the event to be held at Media Bazaar, Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC). Commerce minister Faruk Khan is expected to inaugurate the trade show at about 10am. Holger Michael, ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Saiful Islam, president of BGCCI, AK Azad, president, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Mahfuz Anam, editor, The Daily Star, Daniel Seidl, executive director of BGCCI and Sadaqat Hossain, vice- president of BGCCI will attend the trade show.
The trade show aims to be the biggest ever bilateral show in Bangladesh. Almost 70 top companies from Germany and Bangladesh will showcase their offering, with representatives from different industries including RMG, shipbuilding, energy, IT, logistics and pharmaceuticals.
