Korean firm to invest $14m in Karnaphuli EPZ
DHAKA, APR 5: Campvalley (BD) Limited, a Korean company, will set up a tent, camping furniture, sleeping bag, and camping accessories manufacturing industries in the Karnaphuli export processing zone, says a press release. This fully foreign owned company will invest $14 million in setting up their unit.
The company will also create employment opportunity for 3,040 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and Campvalley (BD) Limited in BEPZA complex, Dhaka on Tuesday. Moyjuddin Ahmed, member, Investment Promotion of BEPZA and Kim Do Kyun, managing director of Campvalley (BD) Limited, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
A T M Shahidullslam, executive chairman, AKM Mahbubur Rahman, member, finance, AZM Azizur Rahman, general manager, Investment Promotion and other officials of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
